I qualified as a physio in 1990.
I have primarily worked in the musculoskeletal field, treating muscles, joints, nerves, etc. I have also worked in more specialist areas: rehabilitation post breast surgery; lymphoedema management; management of scar tissue; treating hand/ upper limb trauma. Today, most of my patients seek me out because they have chronic pain issues. After taking some time out to work and travel in Australia, I emigrated there in 2001. I have always been interested in techniques such as acupuncture, trigger point release, etc and in 2006 I started learning about myofascial release. In 2014 I had to return to the UK as an injury meant that I was unable to work, but knew that MFR was the key. Finding a therapist who could help me was difficult so I began learning more about this amazing treatment. My aim is to help others in a similar situation.

A large proportion of patients seek me out because they have fibromyalgia / chronic fatigue or any chronic pain problem.
But as a physiotherapist I am able to treat a wide range of soft tissue problems, joint injuries, back or neck pain, etc. I can help with rehabilitation after a fracture or post surgery, such as total hip or knee replacements. I also have an interest in treating scars and rehabilitation post surgery for breast cancer. I have a large "tool kit" of physiotherapy techniques, but focus on myofascial release and Muscle Energy Techniques. I believe that hands on treatment is important but also provide teach home treatment techniques including exercise.
