After a career in Local Government, I started out as a massage therapist in 2012.

My first qualification: A Diploma in Swedish Massage was followed by diplomas in Remedial & Sport Massage, On-Site Seated Acupressure, Indian Head Massage and Pregnancy Massage. I have completed training as a therapist working with People Living with Cancer. Since 2015, I have trained extensively with MFR-UK and have visited the United States 3 times to study with John F Barnes. Since 2021, I have also worked on a 1-1 basis with clients who wish to develop Self-Care Myofascial Release techniques. I am a therapist because I believe in a holistic way of treating individuals, to understand their journey to where they are in terms of their pain, tension or discomfort. I love working with clients and helping make a difference with them.

I work with clients who present with various conditions and primarily use Myofascial Release.

I work mainly with clients who have pain, discomfort and limited range of motion, particularly in neck, shoulders and lower back areas. I use inter-oral techniques when dealing with TMJ issues, and I am also qualified and insured to work with females who require Women's Heath work. I offer relaxation pregnancy massage and use additional MFR techniques to release any restrictions in the hips/lower back areas. I offer intensive treatment sessions, and can work on a 1-1 basis with clients who wish to continue their recovery using Self Care Myofascial Release Ther

Testimonials

M Stewart

After a visit to casualty, I expected my granddaughter to have 6 weeks off her schedule of sport and dance with a foot injury. 4 days in, I took her to Antonine Therapy on her crutches, and the next day she was able to put weight on her foot. A day or two later she was able to start short sessions of her sport and dance. Today she completed her usual training schedule. I've no idea how it works, but it quite clearly does. 2 weeks to recover is amazing. M Stewart

Another great treatment from Sharon at Antonine Therapy. She has taken every possible action to ensure a covid-free space. Keeping me moving and easing my pain! Highly recommend!! R McKenna

After being in constant shoulder pain for years, a friend suggested Antonine Therapy. She'd been helped with a groin problem so I was willing to try. Having never heard of myofascial release therapy I went along with an open mind - very glad I did. I'm loving being pain free! Thank you Sharon. N Thomson.
