I have had a lifelong interest in sport and athletic performance.

I qualified from Jordanhill College with a BA in Sport in the Community and continued to actively participate in numerous sports until I obtained a significant back injury while working as a Police Officer.

After retiring, I trained as an Advanced Remedial and Sport Soft Tissue Therapist adding many modalities to my skills over the last 20 years including Myofascial Release, tool assisted therapies, dry needling, myofascial and sports taping as well as keeping up-to-date with evidence informed practices.

I have provided soft tissue for Scottish Premier League Men's football and have attended European and World cup championships with the Scottish Women's National Football team. I have also provided soft tissue for Sport Scotland and for Team Scotland at the 2014, 2018 and soon to be 2022 Commonwealth Games.

I have taught for Myofascial Release UK for over 10 years.

I have had the pleasure of teaching MFR both nationally and internationally and also teach on the Advanced Remedial and Sports Soft Tissue courses for Scottish Massage Schools.

My clinical practices offers bespoke treatment and rehabilitation approaches drawn from my experience and skill. I offer a full consultation as well as a comprehensive treatment with self-care and home rehabilitation programms as appropriate.

After a visit to casualty, I expected my granddaughter to have 6 weeks off her schedule of sport and dance with a foot injury. 4 days in, I took her to Antonine Therapy on her crutches, and the next day she was able to put weight on her foot. A day or two later she was able to start short sessions of her sport and dance. Today she completed her usual training schedule. I've no idea how it works, but it quite clearly does. 2 weeks to recover is amazing. M Stewart

Another great treatment from Sharon at Antonine Therapy. She has taken every possible action to ensure a covid-free space. Keeping me moving and easing my pain! Highly recommend!! R McKenna

After being in constant shoulder pain for years, a friend suggested Antonine Therapy. She'd been helped with a groin problem so I was willing to try. Having never heard of myofascial release therapy I went along with an open mind - very glad I did. I'm loving being pain free! Thank you Sharon. N Thomson.
