I have always had an interest in sports massage and anatomy.

When I went part time as a teacher I took the opportunity to begin my training. I became a massage therapist in 2018 having trained with The Scottish Massage School, Western Massage School, IRIS cancer care and MFR UK. My qualifications include a Diploma in Swedish Massage, a Diploma in Sports and Remedial Massage and a Diploma in Sports Event Therapy. This gave me the encouragement to gain experience in working with Newtonmore shinty club and local rugby having already worked at a range of running, walking and cycling events. I also have attended courses in Osteopathic articulation, K-Tape and strapping, Advanced sports and remedial techniques, Oncology Massage, Certificate in Self-Myofascial Release Therapy, Certificate in Integrated Myofascial Techniques, Running injuries and gait analysis and Body Reading.

treat a range of clients from athletes to people with a range of life limiting conditions.

These include MS and cancer. Issues can include chronic and acute pain, stress and anxiety and postural issues. Myofascial release, trigger point therapy, mobilisations and soft tissue release are just a few of the techniques used to facilitate improvement in positive outcomes for the client.

After a visit to casualty, I expected my granddaughter to have 6 weeks off her schedule of sport and dance with a foot injury. 4 days in, I took her to Antonine Therapy on her crutches, and the next day she was able to put weight on her foot. A day or two later she was able to start short sessions of her sport and dance. Today she completed her usual training schedule. I've no idea how it works, but it quite clearly does. 2 weeks to recover is amazing. M Stewart

Another great treatment from Sharon at Antonine Therapy. She has taken every possible action to ensure a covid-free space. Keeping me moving and easing my pain! Highly recommend!! R McKenna

After being in constant shoulder pain for years, a friend suggested Antonine Therapy. She'd been helped with a groin problem so I was willing to try. Having never heard of myofascial release therapy I went along with an open mind - very glad I did. I'm loving being pain free! Thank you Sharon. N Thomson.
