Ruth Duncan BSc (Hons). and Linda Currie BA.
We became therapists because we want to help people. But, sometimes we feel that we never know enough. This specialist in-person workshop can help.
Having current research and scientific understanding will help you discuss Long Covid with confidence resulting in a greater therapeutic alliance.
Being competent with effective manual therapy approaches will mean that you can help more clients as well as grow your clinical practice.
It can be hard to know how to treat the symptoms associated with Long Covid as there is still so much we don’t know yet.
Symptoms are like those of Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome which can be very debilitating making it hard for people to work or participate in everyday activities.
However, there are treatment approaches which can support these clients’ reducing stress and anxiety, aiding sleep, and promoting wellness.
This 2-day workshop offers whole-body practical applications drawn from current research and science that will help address the physical and emotional symptoms experienced by individuals diagnosed with Long Covid.

Ruth Duncan BSc (Hons)
I have been a manual therapist for over 20 years predominantly specialising in Myofascial Release treating the symptoms associated with chronic persistent pain.
I was diagnosed with ME, now commonly called Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), in my early 20's. Since then, I have learned to adapt so that I can continue to work and have a good quality of life. I can relate to so many of the symptoms experienced by individuals diagnosed with Long Covid. This workshops is drawn from my own experiences and years of treating clients with CFS and Fibromyalgia.
I also have an in-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology and science having completed a BSc (Hons) in Health Sciences in 2021 and will provide you with a fundamental knowledge of Long Covid.
Linda Currie BA
I have also been a manual therapist for over 20 years. However, my interest has been in sport and athletic performance.
I use many soft tissue approaches including Myofascial Release, IASTM, cupping, dry needling, self-care and rehabilitation programmes.
My BA is in Sport in the Community and I have extended my skills to offer bespoke injury and pain rehabilitation programmes across many populations.
I am also a chronic pain sufferer having had a significant back injury resulting in surgery that has severely affected my own participation in sport. I have learned to manage my own pain and, along with my training, use my experiences to help my clients.
I am keen to teach therapists easy to use and effective hands-on skills, fundamental rehabilitation and exercise programmes to benefit their clients.
