Event Details

This is a special workshop deal on purchasing 3 workshops together 6 of which are practical attendance and 3 are online home study theory courses – 9 days in total.

These 9 days of learning will provide a substantial amount of theoretical knowledge and practical experience which will allow the student to offer MFR as an individual therapy for the whole body.

The Structural Series Parts 1-3 are delivered as 3 2-day attendance workshops plus a 3-day online theory course providing 9 days of CPD.

The Structural Series Part 1

Pre-requisite – core education training qualification in a bodywork therapy including anatomy and physiology – minimum UK national occupational standard level 3.

This workshop provides excellent techniques for the shoulders and hip and also introduces the student to a variety of effective fascial therapeutic applications.

The participant will:

  • Examine the development of fascia, its structural function and dysfunction and examine the physiological effects of a variety of fascial release techniques
  • Learn observation and palpatory diagnostic skills
  • Learn various fascial release application and specific techniques for the shoulders, neck, and extremities
  • Learn the fundamental fascial cross hand release, transverse planes, arm/leg pulls and active and passive soft tissue techniques
  • Explore fascial rehabilitation and self-care approaches.

The Structural Series Part 2

This workshop provides excellent diagnostic skills and therapeutic applications for the pelvis and cranium.

The participant will:

  • Learn valuable assessment approaches for pelvic obliquity and leg length discrepancy
  • Learn soft tissue and myofascial pelvic balancing techniques to restore pelvic symmetry
  • Learn myofascial release techniques to restore and maintain balance in the craniosacral system
  • Learn valuable soft tissue and myofascial techniques for the erector spinae group, lower limb, neck and shoulders
  • Learn the integration of specific muscle energy techniques with myofascial release techniques for the pelvic area
  • Learn the importance of compression and decompression fascial release techniques.

The Structural Series Part 3

This workshop build on the previous 2 workshops and integrates techniques for the thorax and TMJ.

The participant will:

  • Advanced myofascial release techniques for the TMJ complex, including intraoral work
  • Refinement of the integration of the whole body approach
  • Learn position of ease and compression myofascial techniques for the thoracic area
  • Learn the importance of myofascial rebounding
  • Develop a kinaesthetic touch of fascial responses and reactions to fascial techniques.

A CPD certificate of attendance will be provided after the workshop for both the online course the the practical attendance workshop.
