About

Have you ever looked at a client’s body and identify areas of imbalance but have not been able to work out what has caused them and, more importantly, not been able to work out what to do about them? This is where Body Reading Pro can help.

This highly informative course will provide you with essential skills to perform a detailed and valuable client body-reading assessment via video conferencing or face to face. It will also help you understand dysfunction from a whole-body approach where no one part moves in isolation. The course takes you through how to do a postural assessment, what to look for, what it means and what else may be affected due to functional patterns.

Who is it For

Both Movement and Manual Therapists who hold a minimum of a level 3 in Anatomy and Physiology at National Occupational Standard and a manual therapy qualification also to a minimum of a level 3 plus at least 18 months of clinical practice.

This course is not suitable for Beauty Therapists, Reflexologists, Movement Therapists, Energy and Reiki Therapists and those without a formal recognised manual therapy qualification.

Please note that there is a section on palpation at the end of the course which could be used by a movement therapist but may not suit all movement therapists.

What Will I Learn?

Body-reading is more than identifying asymmetry. A visual assessment, called a body reading, helps you identify functional and dysfunctional patterns. It also provides valuable information directing the treatment and offers a baseline measurement for treatment success and progression.

I have just completed my SMFRTherapy course and have to say I loved every minute of it. I learnt so much, new techniques and a totally different way of using the tools like the foam roll and using a softer ball rather than a tennis ball and trigger point ball. I was always taught to massage on the roll and ball rather than to just position and soften. I have to say I am so impressed with the results and have found that less is more! I really loved this course and would highly recommend it to anyone who is thinking of doing it.
